Finalizing a Disk Image

Finalizing the disk image creates a read-only disk image file.

Finalizing a disk image will cause the image to be built as (or converted to) a read-only disk image. This is important when distributing the disk image as it prevents changes from being made to the view options of the disk image and also allows you to compress the disk image through the Finalize Format option in the Format Properties dialog of the Inspector.

Do one of the following:

• Click the Finalize icon in the Toolbar.
• Select Finalize Disk Image from the Project menu.
